September Tidings

What was great about September? Well, it wasn’t cooler weather, that’s for certain. The great thing about September was a meeting of the Patient & Family Advocacy Council held at Amy’s House and facilitated by Eyal Kaczur who is the Director of Provider and Community Engagement at Scott & White. The council members toured Amy’s House and discussed the mission of the facility and how it benefits the community, and they asked what the house might need. As a result, we ended up with a brand-new extra freezer, now housed in our pantry provided at cost by Modern Appliance and purchased and stocked by Mary Jane and Steve Roach and the St. Francis Gift Shop through the kind offices of Linda Frick. We go through a lot of ready meals at Amy’s House, so the extra freezer space will be invaluable.
