Full House

August is noteworthy for our occupancy. We hosted 16 different families for a total of 242 nights of stays. This does not mean that Amy’s House was completely full every night. If that were the case, August statistics would say we had 1735 nights of stays. Our staff would be worn to a frazzle if this happened. Our weekends are normally quiet because there are no doctor appointments on weekends. Some people check in for only a night, but others are long-term guests. Anyway, it is good to have some breathing room between guests to get caught up on chores and assure that the house stays in tip-top shape. Amy’s House not only operates as a bed & breakfast, but we also provide a place for transplant-related meetings, therapy, and group sessions. Amy’s House also offers value to Temple. Good doctors are attracted to a town where they know there are appropriate accommodations for their patients, and patients come from miles away to find good doctors.
