A new TRIO Chapter has been formed in Austin, Texas. They are planning their first event and have extended an invitation to anyone who is a transplant candidate, recipient, donor, or caregiver to attend their event on April 6, 2024, at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Austin at 1:00 PM. I am including their invitation in this post and heartily encourage your attendance. There is a growing number of transplants occurring in Austin hospitals, and eventually there will be a need for a facility like Amy’s House there.

I am the Treasurer of TRIO Central Texas Chapter a 501 (c) 3 which owns and operates Amy’s House in Temple, Texas.  I am the mother of Amy Henderson Firth, a multiple organ and tissue donor after her untimely and unexpected death in 2012.
