Biking for a Purpose

We were so honored to be invited to participate in a reception for the Lone Star Circle of Life Bike Tour as it passed through Temple last Friday. Members of Altrusa prepared a great dinner for the riders who annually make a 6-day bike tour through parts of Texas to promote awareness of the need for organ and tissue donation. Many of the bicyclists are either donors or recipients or ride in honor of a loved one who received or gave an organ, some tissue, or blood. Amy and Amy's House were honored and so was Monika Rodriguez, the granddaughter of Phyllis Renfrow the Executive Director of Amy's House.
